Welcome to South San Jose Youth Soccer League
In partnership with MVLA San Jose, South San Jose Youth Soccer League (SSJYSL) is dedicated to fostering a love for soccer in our community’s youth. Founded with the mission of providing a positive, inclusive, and competitive environment for players of all skill levels, our league serves South San Jose and its surrounding areas with a commitment to excellence on and off the field.
Our Mission
Our mission is to promote the development of young athletes through the sport of soccer, emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development. We believe in the power of soccer to instill valuable life lessons such as discipline, perseverance, and leadership, while creating lasting friendships and memorable experiences for our players.
What We Represent
Player Development: At SSJYSL, we are committed to the growth of every player. Our programs are designed to enhance technical skills, tactical understanding, and overall athleticism. We provide training sessions led by experienced coaches who focus on both individual and team development.

SSJYSL proudly partners with MVLA San Jose, a leading soccer organization known for its commitment to player development and excellence. This collaboration allows us to provide enhanced opportunities for our players and elevate the quality of soccer in our community.
Through this partnership, we benefit from MVLA San Jose's extensive resources, experienced coaching staff, and high-level training programs. Together, we work to create a seamless pathway for players to advance from recreational to competitive soccer, ensuring they receive top-notch training and support at every stage of their development.
League Handbook & Age Group Rules
South San Jose Youth Soccer League (SSJYSL) maintains an official League Operations & Recreational Coaches Handbook and Age Group Rules (U6–U14)that outline all league policies, procedures, and game standards.
These documents are reviewed and updated annually to ensure compliance with Cal North, US Youth Soccer, and City of San Jose Parks and Recreation field use policies.
The handbook and age group rules are available to all registered f amilies,coaches, and volunteers upon request.

By participating in league activities, individuals agree to abide by SSJYSL’s published rules and conduct standards.
