Maile Washington
Born and raised in San Jose, California, Maile started her playing career at the age of 6 with the North Valley Flyers. That team morphed into the San Jose Thunder where she played from 7-12 years of age until the team disbanded 2007 after the passing of her teammate Hannah Welker.
After a short stint at Central Valley and Juventus, Maile played for MVLA SC under Coach Seth Alberico. She was also a 4-year Varsity Player at Presentation High School. Her senior year, Maile tore her labrum and decided to pursue a career in medicine. Once she hit Organic Chemistry at University or Oregon however, she switched her major to Psychology. Maile continued to show her passion for the game by playing intramurals at UO until she graduated in 2014.
Maile loves working with our youngest age groups and is passionate about them developing a quality first touch. Having Seth Alberico as her coach instilled a desire to love the game and have fun. Today, he remains her #1 inspiration and friend.
Maile possesses her USSF 4v4, 7v7, 9v9, and 11v11 licenses and is currently pursuing a Masters in Sports Psychology.
In her spare time she loves spending time with her dogs Merlot and Hendrix, working out, and brunching with her friends and family.
